We strongly encourage customers to utilize digital channels for banking, such as Online and Mobile Banking. These services allow you to bank from the comfort of your home or office, while decreasing exposure to customers and our staff. For the safety of our customers and employees, branch hours and operations have been adjusted and will continue to be modified as our regions reopen. Transactions are primarily being processed through the drive-thru, where applicable, with branch lobbies available on a limited basis or by appointment only. When visiting any of our offices, we ask everyone to wear a mask or cloth face covering for face-to-face service. Our employees will also wear face coverings for such interactions.

In addition to completing transactions with our branch staff, deposits and loan payments can be made in the branch night depositories and at most branch ATMs. ATMs can also be used to withdraw funds from your account and review your account balance.
To encourage the continued use of ATMs and Mobile Banking, we have temporarily increased certain limits that have been in place related to these services, including withdrawal limits at ATMs and mobile deposit limits based on the dollar amount and quantity of checks deposited within specified time frames. Additionally, Regulation D, which has traditionally imposed limitations on certain transactions out of savings and money market account types, has been suspended, eliminating any fees we would normally assess and allowing customers greater access to their savings.

We are also offering our “Everything Loan” available up to $5,000, at an Interest Rate as low as 3.00% for up to 24 months, or an Interest Rate as low as 4.00% for up to 48 months*, and the first payment will not be due until 90 days after the loan closing. We have modified our standard requirements to allow for the potential to qualify even if you have reduced income during this time as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Elmira Savings Bank is proud to be a participating lender in the second round of the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) funding. As a designated SBA 7(a) lender, we gained a great deal of experience in helping small businesses throughout our communities receive funding through the first round of PPP in 2020, and are ready to help our customers apply for first or second round funding in 2021. We encourage everyone to stay vigilant against scams related to the Coronavirus. Cybercriminals have begun to send emails or contact through social media with links to fraudulent websites, intended to trick victims into revealing sensitive information.
Messages may appear to be educational, promoting awareness and prevention tips, or attempting to sell a bogus product for prevention or cure. Additionally, messages from cybercriminals may appear to come from charities seeking donations.
Be cautious of emails, text messages, social media posts or phone calls you receive requesting information; do not open links or attachments from sources unfamiliar to you; and never provide your personal or financial information. If you plan to make a donation, research the charity, never let them rush you into a donation, and do not send cash or gift cards, or wire the funds.
